Workhouse Arts Center is pleased to announce the opening of The First Light, an experiential exhibition showcasing regional artists who incorporate physical light into their body of work. The exhibition considers the methods in which artists explore light as a medium from its role of illumination, as a sculptural medium and a source of conceptual energy. Concepts will range from civil liberties, to social engagement, to a more light-hearted exploration of play and wonder. The exhibition will be on view in the McGuireWoods Gallery from October 27, 2018 – January 6, 2019. More information.
