Join book club members to learn about starting, running and enhancing book clubs while networking with fellow readers. Light breakfast snacks, coffee and box lunch provided. Cosponsored by the Fairfax Library Foundation. Adults. (R)

Book Lust: Recommended Reading for Every Mood, Moment and Reason
Librarian of the Year and well-known author, Nancy Pearl, will recommend some of her favorite books and discuss the power and magic of reading books and discussing them with others.

Maximizing Your Book Club Experience
Hear what two long-time book club facilitators say about optimizing fiction and non-fiction book choices, group dynamics and more. Bring your own experiences and questions.

Read Like a Writer
Learn about a writer's intentions and how to appreciate the choices they make in characters, scenes and plotting. This workshop is for people looking for fresh activities to enliven their discussions and for ambitious readers wanting to take a new journey with the books they choose.
