Women of Courage in Virginia presented by William S. Connery, Civil War Historian

The beginning of the war between the states was a trying time for ladies, both in the north and the south, who were living in or visiting Virginia. William Connery will discuss the memorable lives of four women at that time: Anne Frobel, Sarah Tracy, Hetty Cary and Julia Ward Howe. Anne and Julia are known for their writing, Hetty for her sewing, and Sarah for her righteous stubbornness. Adults.
