Girls’ Tech Day, Hosted by Amazon Web Services

Calling all girls in grades 3 through 12! Enjoy a day dedicated to you and your future on September 28, 2019!
NOTE: Time listed is approximate. Times will be provided when you register.

Girls’ Tech Day, hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS), is a one-day event designed to inspire and empower young girls from grades 3 to 12, and young women 18 to 24 years of age, to pursue interests and careers in technology. It is a series of learning workshops focused on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEAM), as well as the arts, including:

Grades 3-5: Tech Explorations
During this session, you will learn how it is that humans can even interact with computers and see how much fun it is to make tech do whatever you program it to do.

Grades 6-8: Our Robotic Friends
During this session, you will get hands-on with robots, learning what makes them tick, unleashing your creativity to design your own and figuring out what robotics means to you and your future!

Grades 9-12: Program Your Future
In this session, you will explore how your ideas, creativity, and voice can be part of the future of tech.

Young Adults: Blaze A New Path

Connect, Engage, and Activate
Meet one-on-one with nationally recognized trailblazers with careers in computer science, technology, robotics, and engineering. Hear their stories, challenges, and successes along the way.

Shaping your Future with Tech
Enjoy interactive sessions to learn more about cutting edge technologies shaping the way we all live and work.
