Norooz
Norooz is the day of the vernal equinox, marking the beginning of spring in the Northern Hemisphere. It is celebrated as the Persian New Year, symbolizing rebirth and renewal. This festival dates back more than 3000 years ago and expresses a wealth of ancient rites and customs, symbolizing the victory of good over evil, bringing new hope.
Please join us on Saturday, March 7th at 1:00pm as we welcome the Persian New Year with a celebration of music, crafts and delicious sweets! Local author Arsia Rozegar will be reading an excerpt of his children’s book series, “Shahnameh for Kids”. For all the family.
