CANCELLED: Making Sense of the Census

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED. Chris Martin, historian at the U.S. Census Bureau, will share surprising stories of the Census' past, from the impact of the Civil War to the challenges of early computer systems. Count on a revealing look at the why's and how's of accounting for the nation's population. Registration is appreciated.

This is the first of four system-wide events at the core of Fairfax County Public Library’s Common Ground campaign. The second event, “A Political Party,” will take place April 11. Throughout 2020 the campaign will explore the concepts of community, civic engagement and American politics. Learn more about Common Ground here.
