Thinking Beyond the (Boom) Box: Embracing Hip Hop As a Force For Social Change

Thinking Beyond the (Boom) Box: Embracing Hip Hop As a Force For Social Change

Dumi Right is a performance artist, writer and organizer who has always strived to make music that not only speaks to the times, but also offers broad perspectives, keen analysis and solutions. With poignant but uplifting social commentary and personal narratives, he serves as a modern day griot, commentator and protagonist exploring some of the greatest challenges we face. From social justice, to hope and inspiration, he consistently offers up a compelling and thought provoking and progressive music soundscape.

Join Dumi as he takes you on a tour through his musical catalog and grab a front row view as he demonstrates and breaks down some of his most engaging and gripping lyrical creations and the meaning behind it all in a virtual, but still personal setting.

Attendees will be entered into a raffle for a signed copy of Dumi's latest CD, Doing It The Right Way.
