Local Author Jim Johnston: Murder, Inc : the CIA under John F. Kennedy

Local Author Jim Johnston: Murder, Inc : the CIA under John F. Kennedy

After leaving the White House, President Lyndon Johnson told reporters that he thought Fidel Castro had ordered the assassination of John Kennedy in retaliation for CIA plots to kill Castro.  The former president said Kennedy was "running a damn Murder, Inc. in the Caribbean." Jim Johnston thus chose Murder, Inc., The CIA under John F. Kennedy as a descriptive title for his book on the history of the CIA assassination plots during the Kennedy Administration.  The book narrates those plots and how their existence was withheld from the Warren Commission investigation of Kennedy's death and how the commission was steered away from the possibility of a foreign conspiracy. Johnston culled the history from hundreds of thousands of the so-called "secret files" at the National Archives.  Adults.
