Kids in the Kitchen: Making Healthy Snacks
Come join us online for a fun nutrition lesson and a healthy snack!
This is an interactive experience that engages kids to form healthy eating habits and learn basic cooking skills. We'll be making Cinnamon Yogurt Dip! Check out the recipe below, grab the ingredients if you'd like to follow along, and taste the snack along with us! The day before the event you'll receive the Zoom link and password to join our session.
Presented by the Junior League of Northern Virginia. Best suited for ages 3-8.
Here's what you'll need to follow along:
½ cup of Vanilla Greek Yogurt
1 tbsp Nut Butter
¼ tsp Ground cinnamon
1 tsp Honey
4-6 apple wedges, celery sticks, or carrot sticks (for dipping!)
A small bowl
Optional: 1 cup of water and a little lemon juice to keep apples from browning
