Become a Community Scientist this Earth Day: Join the City Nature Challenge!

Have you heard of the City Nature Challenge? From April 30 to May 3, cities around the world are competing to have the most participants find biodiversity in their urban landscape. When you submit photos of wildlife through the iNaturalist app, you contribute to important ecological studies that help scientist better understand our local plants and animals. Jackie Raiford, Montgomery Parks Naturalist, will show how easy it is to participate, including how to download and use the iNaturalist app to submit your observations. Anyone can participate – even from your own backyard – and YOU can become a community scientist! Please have your smart phone with the free iNaturalist app pre-downloaded. An invitation to join this virtual class will be emailed 1 day prior to the start time. Teens-Adults. (R)
