Local Author Bill Lewers : Eighteen Days in New York

Rescheduled due to a power outage on Aug 10.

Bill Lewers, a local author and self-described political junkie will discuss his book, Eighteen Days in New York : a novel about the 1924 Democratic Convention and its ballot deadlock.  "The 1924 Democratic Convention was one of the most bizarre events in American political history. Eighteen Days in New York is a fictional tale, using the convention as a backdrop. It features Claudia Burnham, a young woman reporter trying to make a name for herself in the male-dominated worlds of journalism and politics."  Books available for sale and signing.  Adults.
