Virtual Chair Yoga and Meditation at Oakton Library

Learn relaxation and Yoga poses in this one-hour practice of Chair Yoga (45 minutes with Rupa) and simple Meditation (10 minutes with Bina). Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that can be done sitting on a chair or standing while using the chair for support to experience the many benefits of yoga without having to get up or down from the floor.

Benefits from Chair Yoga

Benefits include increased balance, strength, flexibility, range of motion, and stress reduction.

Benefits from Meditation

A simple breath-focused meditation has several cognitive benefits such as increased ability to focus, less of a wandering mind, more positive emotions, less emotional reactivity, and experience peace.

Registration is required and a Zoom invitation will be emailed to students one day before the event. You will need a computer, tablet, or smart phone and an internet connection, or join by phone. Adults, Older Adults.
