The Old Capitol Prison

Temporary U.S. Capitol to Be a Prison

Jon Vrana, President of the Burke Historical Society, will recount the history of the Old Capitol Prison in Washington, D.C., which went through several roles (including temporary Capitol of the United States) before being used as a prison during the Civil War.

A Zoom invitation will be emailed to registrants one day before the program.
