DID YOU KNOW
Mindfulness may be a current buzzword, but it’s a buzz worthy of attention! Living in a world of constant distraction, people of all ages benefit from this simple practice of paying attention to the present. In particular, a growing body of research shows that mindfulness is especially important for children. Some ways children may benefit from mindfulness include:
- Improved moods and self-esteem; reduced symptoms of anxiety and depression
- Increased ability to regulate emotions, less aggression
- Growth in feelings of empathy, kindness, and love
- Improved academic learning
