Somatic Health Literacy: Getting to Know the Intelligence of Your Body (virtual)
This is the final of three mental health literacy seminars led by Shabnam Curtis, certified integral life coach. Parenting, caregiving, having a full-time job, managing finances, and keeping up with social connections successfully requires a lot of self-care and self-awareness. In this series, Ms. Curtis will discuss the skills necessary to live more in harmony and manage our daily stress through learning more about our bodies and emotions.
This particular workshop focuses on somatic health literacy. It will teach how our bodies handle and process messages from the environment, making meaning of our bodily experiences and connecting with our intuition. Students will be introduced to somatic skills that bring relaxation and safety back to their bodies.
The workshop style is a mix of lecture, short practices, reflection, and sharing experiences with the class.
The class will be held in two formats. Attendees may go to whichever format they prefer. The content will be identical.
To attend the virtual session on September 2nd, you may register on this page.
