Learn how to edit Wikipedia articles! Join us for an edit-a-thon focused on women in Virginia history. There will be a one-hour instruction led by a representative from Wikimedia DC, followed by two hours to update and upload content. We will use sources specific to the Virginia Room collection to create articles or expand on existing articles on Wikipedia. The focus on women is in part aligned with the Women in Red Wikipedia project, which works to address the current gender bias in Wikipedia content. Read more about the Women in Red project here. 

A limited number of chromebooks will be available for public use for this program. Please bring your own laptop if you have one.
