Make New Friends: Meet Authors Beverly and Alyssa Samuel
Make New Friends is a children’s book that tells the story of Ava, a friendly girl, starting her first day at a brand-new school. Readers will enjoy learning about the different cultural backgrounds of Ava’s new friends and the important lessons the book has to offer about getting to know people who are different. Participants will engage in interactive activities and discussion related to the book. This book was written by a local mother and daughter duo, based on life experiences that illustrate diversity, equity and inclusion.
