Crafting a Family History Narrative

Crafting a Family History Narrative

Genealogical name and date information in itself is, frankly, not very exciting. Historical data, however, is a critical starting point for writing a family history narrative. Furthermore, when you discover the stories of the people behind those names and dates, history comes alive. A compelling family history narrative begins to emerge when you integrate the historical events of the day with those stories of those ancestors.

During this presentation, author Dale Spaulding will discuss his journey in writing Fortitude: Preserving 400 years of an American family's faith, patriotism, grit and determination. He will uncover his secrets to his research and share fascinating stories from long ago. He will demonstrate how tiny bits of data turned into the discoveries of some remarkable ancestors. Dale will also share his lessons learned in the book writing and publishing process. If you are interested in discovering the stories of your ancestors and crafting a family history narrative to pass on to the next generation, then you'll want to consider attending this presentation.
