Join ArtsFairfax Artist in Residence Suzy Scollon for a five-class ceramic tile workshop. You will learn how to swap stories with a partner and create a ceramic relief tile based on your partner’s story. This workshop teaches how to listen, interpret, illustrate a scene from a story, and carve a relief tile. You will draw a scene on paper, carve it into clay, then fire and glaze the tile. The tiles will be on display in the library for one month, then you can take your creation home!

Come with a friend, neighbor, family member, or anyone you’d like to take this workshop with! One of you must be 16 or older, or you and your partner must be accompanied by an adult.
