Estate Planning with Bettina Lawton

Many believe estate planning is too complicated or only necessary for the very wealthy. Attorney Bettina M. Lawton has offered to clear up these and other misconceptions through a presentation outlining the key estate planning steps we should ALL take. Bettina Lawton is a trust and estate planning attorney. Since 2003 she has worked with individuals, families and small business owners to plan a legacy that includes personal control, family peace, and protection and improvement of the lives of their beneficiaries.

Bettina is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center and Siena College, with a Bachelor of Business Administration, magna cum laude. She is licensed to practice law in Virginia, among other states, and admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court. Bettina has an AV Preeminent peer review rating for skills, knowledge and ethics from Martindale-Hubbell. This rating is held by approximately 10% of the lawyers in the U.S.

Bettina serves her community as a member of the Fairfax - Falls Church Community Services Board, vice-chair of the Fairfax County Electoral Board, president of the Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign War Post 8469, a reserve deputy sheriff for the Fairfax County Sheriff Office, and a member of the Vienna Rotary. She frequently gives presentations on estate planning to civic groups, homeowners associations, church congregations and at Fairfax County libraries.

She travels the country in her RV with her Great Dane Benson.
