Addressing Mental Health and Therapies

Never before has mental health received so much attention in our society and now is the time for new educators and practitioners to bravely connect with the community to provide insight, dispel myths, bring light to stigmas, and introduce new positive attitudes towards mental health. Addressing some of the top presenting mental health-related concerns of people today, Resident Counsellor, Daniel Lavelle will highlight different therapeutic approaches in this informational session with Q&A that have proven to be effective in a therapeutic setting to help people learn more about the healing powers of effective therapy and how to access mental health services.  Registration required. Adults.

With a Masters degree in Counseling from Johns Hopkins University, Daniel Lavelle's passion is to share what he's learned with the public.  He spent the last five years developing a deeper and new understanding of the anatomy of the mind. Putting these two elements together is what has created a desire to educate the public about a critical and watershed topic in our society today.
