Self-Defense Workshop
This 1.5 hour workshop, chock-full of excellent literary quotes in addition to mindset and awareness training, was born from a trained civilian's desire to see their neighbors have a fighting chance for surviving potential dangerous altercations.
We will address strategies for identifying and avoiding or responding to altercations, as well as introduce methods for being a useful bystander, should the need arise.
This workshop is designed to be an overview of the self-defense mindset for the peaceful everyday civilian, with some (optional) hands-on opportunities and a Q&A session afterward.
Participation in physical practice is not mandatory.
If you have questions about "real martial arts," the instructor will be happy to indulge that question afterward.
In the words of Grandmaster Rorion Gracie, “Self defense is not just a set of techniques, it's a state of mind that begins with the belief that you are worth defending."
Adults and teens 15 & up.
