DESCRIPTION:Calling all aspiring writers!\n\nDo you find animals 
 fascinating? Do you like to read or write in rhyme? Join local picture book 
 author Debra Kempf Shumaker for a session on writing fun\, rhyming 
 nonfiction. Come ready with a few fun facts if you’d like\, but we’ll 
 do some research together\, too. Then we’ll cover basics in meter and 
 brainstorm some fun\, rhyming lines as a start for your own project! 
 \n\nSpace is limited\, so registration is required. Ages 8-14. \n\n 
 \n\nAbout The Author:\n\nDebra Kempf Shumaker is the author of two rhyming 
 nonfiction picture books\, Freaky Funky Fish and Peculiar Primates. She 
 lives in Sterling\, VA\, with her husband\, three sons\, and two cats. When 
 she isn't reading or writing\, you can find her watching Jeopardy\, working 
 in her garden\, or out on a walk.
