All Access Book Club
This month's book is The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek by Kim Michele Richardson
Kentucky, 1936. Nineteen-year-old Cussy Mary Carter has been working as part of the Pack Horse Library Project, but her father hopes she’ll marry--despite the family trait of blue skin. In addition to her father’s hopes, Cussy must also face the prejudice of the community she serves.
The All-Access Book Club meets on the first Thursday of every month at 11:00 a.m. via conference call. We read a variety of books and have an engaging conversation. Selected titles are available in the Talking Books and FCPL collections in various formats.
To join the discussion: Call 703-324-1800 or the toll-free number, 1-877-862-8112. At the prompt, enter the code 389887.
For more information, please call Access Services at 703-324-8380, TTY 703-324-8365 or email libas@fairfaxcounty.gov.
